Showroom Assistant

Job Responsibilities:

  • Answer phones, transfer calls, take messages and communicate in timely manner.
  • Utilize Quickbooks to enter estimates, bills from vendors, and invoices to customers.
  • Creatively update/maintain Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest pages with new projects and products.
  • Front line customer service – greet, note project & preferences, give overview of cabinet & countertop & hardware choices.
  • Maintain display areas in neat & clean condition through dusting, mopping floors, and organization.
  • Reorder brochures, samples, supplies, etc. as requested.
  • Special order cabinet hardware, countertops, fixtures, etc.
  • Research products and brands as requested by customers or design staff.
  • Communicate with contractors,  homeowners, and customers about appointments, schedules, purchases, etc. by phone, letter, email.
  • Track lead generation reports and sales process for current projects.
  • Keep inventory of samples.
  • Follow up with vendors regarding complaints, credits, etc.
  • Data entry – enter cabinet orders & create purchase orders.

Job Requirements:

  • Effective interpersonal skills to communicate, diffuse anger, elicit patience.
  • Skilled in personal computer tasks such as online research, social media, word processing, bookkeeping & email.
  • Accurate data entry.
  • Willing to learn cabinet, countertop, hardware, flooring lines.
  • Proficiency in ChiefArchitect, 2020Design, and AutoCad a plus but not required.
  • Work approximately 10 hours per week; including two Saturdays (10:00-2:00) per month
