This Noblesville couple wanted to update their worn out, yellowing thermofoil cabinetry and laminate countertop with new cherry cabinets and granite countertops. The existing footprint of the kitchen was kept, along with the solid oak wood floors and pantry. The client fell in love with a warm cherry finish with a black glaze. We used the black, beadboard paneling on the back of the peninsula to complement the glazing in the cabinetry. The hood was intended to be the focal point of the kitchen, so we worked with them to design an oversized, wood hood to serve that purpose. We used a neutral brown granite with beautiful movement and a stone backsplash to bring all of the materials together. Here are some before and after pictures so you can see the transformation.
